Record Number of Applications Received

Marilyn and friendsAt Farther Foundation we are overjoyed, and nearly overwhelmed, by the volume of applications for scholarships we received this year. Our March 31st deadline has now past and we received almost twice as many applications as we did last year. Our scholarship budget is larger this year than last, but unfortunately not twice as big as last year’s. So, while we will unfortunately not be able to award scholarships to everyone who applied, our class of 2014 scholarship recipients should be a stellar group.

Our ambitious and adventurous group of students this year have submitted applications to live, learn and provide service in countries including Thailand, Ghana, Norway, Argentina, Paraguay, Italy, France and more. They are also applying to study at Colleges including Harvard, Yale, Brown, John Hopkins and University of Michigan.

We look forward to sending our largest group of students yet across the country and around the world. We are confident that they will take full advantage of their life-changing opportunities and fulfil their highest aspirations.

Farther Foundation and the students we serve depend on the tax deductible donations from people like you to make these life changing experiences possible. Visit our website to make a donation online.

Farther Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization providing scholarships to low-income students to inspire them to reach their highest aspirations through educational travel experiences.
