Stephanie Douglass is passionate about storytelling as a powerful communication tool. Stephanie is a Moth GrandSLAM Champion, co-hosts This Much Is True and tells stories on stages all over Chicago. She was also the head writer for OLN’s “Outside Magazine’s Ultimate Top Ten,” is currently a staff writer for The Paper Machete and co-produced The 25th Annual Chicago’s Biggest Liar Contest. When not onstage, she manages an organic farm, trains people with barriers to employment for Growing Home, and develops sustainable programming for rural women in Uganda.

Other Storytellers include:

Pat Byrnes, a cartoonist for The New Yorker, illustrator, humorist, and author of Captain Dad: The Manly Art of Stay-at-Home Fatherhood.

Harlene Ellin, a journalist, essayist, and social media maven. Mike Cramer, an award winning independent film maker and visual artist.

James Finn Garner, a writer and performer, his writing has appeared in the New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Playboy, NPR, and the BBC. His book, Politically Correct Bedtime Stories, is an international best-seller.

Eden Novak started out as a smart-mouth kid who explored rock and roll. She later found herself back on the stage with Open Door Repertory and appearances in theatre, radio and television. >

Patty Jenkins, a chaplain in the Army Reserve and recently returned from a tour in Afghanistan.
